Researching Facts About Debt Settlement Help Using Common Sense

By Monday Osagie

The search for debt settlement help is a lot like picking up feathers on a chicken farm. The two choices come down to picking up every feather versus cleaning the areas that are most important. This article suggests that focusing on important areas, at least during the beginning, will simplify the search in the long run.

Taxes is the first area that should be free from trouble and worry. Searching the tax law would reveal the penalties for an individual or business. Tax laws list the bad penalties for individuals and businesses that have debt problems. For instance, the borrower may have to return part of a settlement to the tax man. Taxes is an area that needs to be kept free of problems.

The second area deals with criminal law. Competent legal advice can help keep trouble away. Attorneys can answer questions concerning the legality of debt settlement agreements. They also can try to insert clauses in the contract that make it less likely that during and after repayment the borrower can be sued. Protection of life, liberty, family, and property during and after the repayment period are some of the goals in this area.

The third area concerns finding the lowest payback amount for the debtor. Any finance professional can calculate the future value of a stream of mortgage payments including interest. Just present to an impartial unbiased financial planner several payback scenarios. Then ask to have the scenarios ranked according to future value. Future value accounts for the impact of interest payments and time. The settlement amount that time and compounded interest affect the least is generally a good choice to consider, from the point of view of the debtor. From the point of view of the lender, the payback with the highest future value is often most desirable.

The fourth area pertains to credit rating. Improving a credit rating score is not the short term goal of the settlement option. During repayment the owed amount gets reduced but not the bad report to the credit bureaus. A record of slow or no payments continues until the settlement is paid in full. The ability to get more credit will not automatically improve in the future. Experts suggest the written settlement agreement should state that the lender must write the words paid-in-full in the credit file at the credit bureau instead of the word settled.

Searching for debt settlement help while keeping these four areas in mind provides a somewhat different view of the debt help search problem. The search will definitely be educational and with any luck relieving.

Penguins Make Perfect Mascots for Your Bank Checks

By Alan Plastin

There is no denying that penguins are delightful and charming. Who doesn't love penguins? They are faithful, adorable, and funny-in addition to courageous for all the hard work they go to for their young and partners. If you are seeking a way to make your personal bank checks more appealing then you might want to think about buying penguin checks. Getting them is simple when you order them online, and it won't cost you as much as you might think.

Penguins are a group of birds that, while they are good swimmers, are unable to fly. They live in a very harsh environment and their bodies are made exclusively for survival. When they dive into the water, for example, their wings turn into flippers. Although the largest species are the Emperor penguins, they still only reach about 4 feet tall. However, in the prehistoric times, some were as tall and heavy as present day humans! Back then, they didn't all live in the Antarctic regions, either.

You have several options when it comes to penguin checks. Your main options are the Defenders of Wildlife Penguin checks, Penguin Pals checks, Penguin Parade checks, and even matching accessories like address labels and checkbook covers.

The Penguin Parade checks feature a family of penguins, hanging out in the snow. These checks show Emperor penguins in their natural habitat in the Arctic Circle. It actually looks as though they are having a real conversation, and they probably are. You can also purchase coordinating address labels to go along with these checks.

If you purchase the Defenders of Wildlife penguin checks then you know that you are helping an organization that is dedicated to the protection of wild animals in their natural habitats. Their programs help encourage the safeguarding of ecosystems and habitats. The checks come with 4 rotating images which means that each check that you write will be different from the last. With thee, you can also purchase coordinating address labels, contact cards, and a matching checkbook cover as well.

The Penguin Pals penguin design personal checks include four delightful depictions of penguins living their daily lives. From groups of hip youngsters to touching scenes of parental affection, the charming frolics of these enchanting penguins skillfully demonstrate the significance of family and friends in a harsh environment.

You can also get coordinating address labels with the Penguin Pals checks. These can really add life to your envelopes. A corresponding checkbook cover can be found, too, that features a gang of young penguins, ostensibly smiling straight at the camera.

In the past, it could be expensive to order interesting checks that weren't plain and boring. Now, however, if you buy them online from a safe website you can save as much as 50% off of the price that you might have paid at your local bank. It generally only takes a few days for the checks to come in the mail, too, which might be even faster than your bank could have gotten them to you.

Understanding The NFL Point Spread

By Ross Everett

In order to successfully bet on NFL football its important to start with the fundamentals. And were not talking about the Xs and Os of professional football game planning"were talking about the fundamentals of understanding the wagering side of the equation. There's a lot of misunderstanding about what NFL pointspreads mean and how they are set. A firm grasp of the essential bookmaking concept of setting NFL lines is a prerequisite for any hopes of sports betting success.

The general public has a tendency to oversimplify the meaning of an NFL pointspread. The conventional wisdom is that it is simply a prediction of which team will win and by how much. In theory, a sportsbooks primary goal is to equally divide the action they take on an individual game. If they do their job right, the outcome of the game is irrelevant to the bookmaker. You'll frequently hear clueless sportscasters make inane comments following a big upset like Boy, the sportsbooks in Las Vegas must have lost their shirts on that one. That's something that simply cannot be determined from the outcome of the game alone.

Since a bookmakers primary goal in setting NFL betting lines is to equally divide action, they have to make each side of a wagering proposition attractive to a prospective player. For that reason, its more accurate to say that NFL lines are more of a reflection of the betting publics perception of which team will win a game and by how much than anything else. Some NFL teams are considered public teams due to their popularity and/or perceived qualitative skill. So if the numbers in a hypothetical game between Dallas and Cincinnati indicate that the Cowboys should be a -6 favorite a book may open the game at -7 or -7.

In early season wagering there are a few additional factors at play. A bookmaker may consider a teams NFL preseason record for the simple reason that the NFL betting public gives it undue attention. Sharp players know that there is little correlation between a teams preseason success (or lack thereof) and their regular season performance. Another consideration is a teams performance in the previous season or, in some cases, their historical performance.

Its also important to understand why NFL lines are moved after the opening numbers are posted. While it may occasionally be due to external factors such as injury or weather, more often than not its a direct result of the money a book is drawing on one side of the proposition or another. If in our hypothetical example above, Dallas opens -7 and not long after the line is moved to -7 that is an indication that the book has received the majority of their bets on the Bengals. Indeed, many sharp players base their NFL football bets exclusively on line movements.

NFL football betting is a very complex discipline, and many neophytes make the mistake of focusing exclusively on the nuances of the game itself. To successfully bet on NFL football, however, it is important to spend as much time understanding the intricacies of the sports gambling marketplace"and in this regard nothing is more fundamentally important than understanding how NFL pointspreads are made and why they are moved.

The Best Penny Stocks Offer Financial Opportunity

By Dan Yoraway

'Penny Stocks' has become one of the remarkable ways through which we can earn lump some amount in stock market. They are considered by many as one of the best money making investments currently available. Let's briefly study what makes 'penny stocks' so attractive investment wise. Most people who invest in stocks do so with the idea of reaping large fast cash rewards over a very short time frame. This utopian concept cannot be achieved so easily unless we won't take reasonable and logical risk. 'Penny stocks' represent for investors the calculated greater risk but also garners the highest possible reward.

A lot of people do not wish to pursue long term investing because achieving quick turn fast cash opportunities are hard to find and most of the times it is not worth the wait. 'Penny 'Penny stocks' on the other hand, offer the perfect instrument to achieve the maximum profits shrewd investors are looking for. They are also appealing because the 'Price Per Share' (PPC) is frequently incredibly low which is appropriate for both the serious investor and any first time traders. Additionally, when comparing 'penny stocks' against 'higher priced stocks' one can frequently purchase many penny shares for the similar rate as just one normal priced stock. This rather insignificant trading concept is a enormous leverage factor most newer investors regularly ignore.

The premium valued 'penny stocks' often offer the utmost opportunity to find financial success. However, nothing is sure and that's why it is very important for all investors to properly support themselves with analysis tools or stock screening technology which can assist recognize perspective investment targets. A quality stock screener should have the ability to present numerous stocks in real time mode so, there is no need to monitor the quick up and down fluctuations of any 'penny stock'. This characteristic is important so each and every investor knows the most excellent time to invest and the best time to pull out of any given position. Tiny position changes in 'penny stocks' will make fast net gains with a least investment of funds. The only influential feature between profit and loss is measured by the quantity of accuracy your stock screening software provides.

Receiving time sensitive and accurate stock data is vital to the achievement of investing in 'penny stocks' or any investment opportunity. As a result, the stock screening product you desire has a straight bearing on whether the 'penny stocks' you select to purchase will bring the rich profits you deserve or losses which nobody wants. As well be conscious of trade screener that distribute delayed stock quotes that tend to give you bogus market readings which can potentially change your profit and loss bottom line.

This factor is particularly serious if you intend to Day Trade the 'penny stock' market where volatility reigns supreme. Some companies may also force clients into thinking they are being paid real time data but in reality no real-time comparison or support data is obtainable until the markets close, thus making it too late to react to the day's events.

Take Your Company Public: Here Is Exactly How To Do It

By James Scott

Going public, the ultimate in the evolution of companies who are seeking access to powerful global finance options for rapid expansion, deepening corporate roots and gaining industry prominence as a true powerhouse and player. The process of going public is technical yet pretty straight forward: business plan, Private Placement Memorandum, Direct Public Offering, Financial Audit, S-1 filing, SEC comments phase, SEC approval, FINRA approval, symbol and then you're public.

Never price shop for consultants that take companies public and be weary of consultants that will start off a conversation by answering questions geared toward price and giving you quotes without understanding your business first; without the proper information a realistic quote can't be given anyway.

When you've found a consultant that you're comfortable with you'll need to get a solid understanding of their full range of services. Of course you'll want a consulting firm that will handle all of the above for your company but you'll also need to consider the post IPO services. What happens after you're public? The reality is, selling off stock in a rapid fashion to raise capital is the last thing you want to do, instead you need to approach your consultant and market maker on how to cross collateralize your securities to raise equity loan capital.

This can be done easily and quickly if you've brought on the right group of advisers to expand your company to the global public. When considering the idea of taking your company public it's important to note that there are many ways to raise capital after you are public without selling off chunks of your company (consult your financial advisers for more information).

Next, when deciding on a consultant they should also have solid investor relationships to assist your company in raising the capital necessary to go public. A true turn-key consultant will have a database of investors seasoned in the process of pre-IPO finance and will often times jump at the chance of investing in the PPM and DPO phase at a discount for companies that are in the process of going public as this almost guarantees that the investor will double or triple their initial investment when the company achieves public status.

Out of the hundreds of consulting firms that offer the 'take your company public' service, there are only a dozen or so that actually offer the complete full range of services needed to successfully accomplish public status in a way that maintains investor confidence and corporate longevity. Do your research and find a firm that is well seasoned in the turbulent waters of this industry.

If Your Company Is Trying To Raising Capital Hire a Turnaround Consultant First

By James Scott

Most companies who are on the venture capital trail are not set up properly to attract investors. When an investor looks at your business plan and private placement memorandum they are looking for certain things. Of course funding sources look for the obvious, a solid business model, positive cash flow, industry genre with solid future growth, recession proof business (if there even is such a thing) and minimal debt.

Countless companies are turned down for funding because they lack the basics such as: an advisory board, board of directors, solid executive staff with a well groomed pedigree, reasonable share price, business plan and PPM that spell out the risks for the investor and an original marketing strategy that covers all the angles. These are just a few of the most common mistakes that companies make out of naivety and by not taking the time to hire an expert to properly structure them to make the entity appeal to investors.

Seasoned expansion and turn-around consultants can step into a company and immediately zone in on the issues that will hinder a client's investment magnetism. Often times it only takes 2 to 3 weeks to completely reorganize a company to make it stand out like a beacon in the turbulent finance industry. If you are seriously considering the idea of raising capital with a private placement memorandum, traditional institutional loans, venture capital or a public offering don't be penny wise and dollar foolish.

Spend some money and hire a consultant who is completely submerged in the finance industry to take control of the elements of your corporation that are seen as 'black eyes' to investors so that you can achieve the capital you're seeking.

The reality is, raising capital for your company is easy and straight forward if you've taken the time to examine your business objectively and sought out the expert analysis of an industry expert consultant who will run your company through a formula and make the necessary changes to increase your ability to raise capital.

Finance Power: How To Easily Control The Mind of an Investor

By James Scott

Discovering the 'thumbscrews' of investors is crucial to getting them to take action. In over a decade of dealing with global investors there are several elements that I've discovered to be universal truths about the mind of the private investor (angel investor, accredited investor).

When talking to an investor for the first time, it's more important to listen than to speak. It's more important to ask questions than answer them. It's more important to discover their needs and wants than to exclaim your own. Your first conversation with an investor should be all about piercing the armor and finding the trigger points that prompt a reaction that gets to the center of their 'childlike' state.

What I mean by this is, investors, just like anyone else, has insecurities that are rooted in their childhood and what they are outwardly today, is typically a polar opposite of what they are on the inside. For example, an arrogant, chest beater seems proud and obnoxious on the outside but the reality is that they are over compensating for an insecurity that is rooted in an individual or collection of childhood incidents.

Maybe they were made fun of as a child, maybe they're father was verbally abusive, maybe their teachers would single them out in class opening them up to playground mockery. When talking to these individuals it's important to listen to their voice and intonation when the conversation topic changes. Take notes on their psychological adjustments to the conversation. After you feel you have discovered the triggers that induce the 'pleasurable' responses, end the call, and set your second phone appointment with them.

On that second call, you want to have your conversation ready to go using the triggers you found in the first conversation. Play off of those insecurities that you found, become their best friend without being chummy but it is your mission on this call to be the "guy that understand me" to the investor. You want the overall tone of this conversation to have the response from your target along the theme of, "wow, this guy gets me" , "I can see investing in this company".

By using this method and not coming across as 'fake', you have become an investment opportunity and a shrink all rolled into one. You want to be the one person that this investor can lower his guard to because everything he says, you seem to be the one person who understands him at his deepest level. You seem to naturally be tuned into his insecurities, emotions, needs and wants. Sound strange? Try this out on the next investor you talk to, I guaranty you will be shocked with the results.

Take Your Company Public: Anatomy of an S-1

By James Scott

Your company is growing. Now you are ready to start raising serious capital and you here the public fund raising markets. Here are the basics of your S-1 filing. Know the lingo before you hire a consultant. Because companies must adhere strictly to SEC regulations, initial prospectuses are similar in their organization. Each S-1 generally consists of the following sections:

Front Section -- An S-1 contains a small amount of information not available in a prospectus. In this first section, you can quickly find the issuing company's phone number and get a vague sense of the future offering price.

Cover/Inside Cover -- The prospectus cover outlines the general terms of the offering, including names of the underwriters, number of shares offered, and pricing information. The actual share price is absent from a prospectus until the day of the offering.

Prospectus Summary -- Here you will find a brief synopsis of the company's business and history, a modest discussion of the change in capitalization to occur as a result of the offering, and a useful summary of financial information covering the last five years, if available. If you are screening prospectuses for investment ideas, start here.

Risk Factors -- After you have read a few prospectuses, you will become familiar with the "usual suspects" in this section, including "Possible Volatility of Stock," "Limited History of operations," "Dilution," and "Dependence on Key Personnel." Nevertheless, this section is a worthwhile read to be sure that you understand the challenges facing the company's management. The discussion of competition can be sobering, but it can also provide a means to compare the value of the issuer against the financial performance and market valuation of its competitors.

Taking your company public should be an exciting and revitalizing time. Don't take unnecessary risks, hire a consulting firm who can streamline this process and deliver the results you'll need for success!

Options for Corporate Energy Efficiency

By John Gerace, PhD, PE

There are several rankings and benchmarks for corporate energy efficiency and corporations can perform an energy audit to see where they can improve with their energy usage. Corporations should look into how many kilowatts they use per square foot and how much gas or BTUs are used per square foot. Each country will have average values and recommended values for being efficient.

If you are looking to improve your company's energy usage you can look into the different products available as each vendor will have information about its products' energy consumption. For example, glass companies will provide information on their products' solar heat gain and U-value, and so on.

Many more corporations are creating positions that deal specifically with energy management and many times there is compensation or benefits for those corporations that have good energy performance. There are several different ways in which corporations can make changes to their energy usage and ultimately enjoy big energy savings.

You want to make sure that your building is properly maintained as this keeps it running as efficiently as possible. Small changes can actually cause big changes in energy consumption. One such example is not running the air conditioning at night if no one is in the building. Also you can go through a retro-commissioning process to get your building back to its original state.

Steam systems are frequently an issue with energy usage as they are not maintained well. Steam traps tend to be used to deal with condensation but these can easily become stuck open and transfer the steam back into the boiler. This wastes a lot of heat as the steam goes back into the system and does not heat the building. You need to make sure these are replaced regularly and maintained well.

You also want to optimize your HVAC systems and these can account for 20 percent or more of all energy used in a building. And lastly, you might want to look into thermal energy storage or heat recovery options.

Does Singapore Allow Foreigners To Own Real Estates?

By Riley Howard

Expatriates in Singapore discover that it is very expensive to rent a hotel room when they plan to stay for a considerable length of time in the country. If a foreign national possess a residential property in Singapore, the expensive problem would have been avoided.

The Singapore government officials do not discourage foreigners from owning residential properties in the country.

Essentially, the Residential Property Act of Singapore encourages Singapore citizens to buy residential properties in the country at reasonable rates. Furthermore, the Act permits foreigners who are acknowledged by the government to be capable of of contributing to the financial prosperity of the country to purchase residential properties in Singapore.

Expatriates may acquire non-restricted residential properties even without pre-approval from the Singapore government. Below are specific samples of non-restricted residential properties:

- apartment units within a structure that is not more than 6 floors in height - condominium units in authorized condominium development properties included in the Planning Act - a lease agreement on a restricted property; the contract should not go beyond 7 years

A foreign national may desire to purchase all units in an apartment or condominium; still, before he or she can do this, Singapore's Minister of Law must issue an approval.

Likewise, an expatriate without any prior approval from Singapore's Minister of Law cannot buy residential properties that are categorized as restricted.

The Residential Property Act of Singapore specifies these restricted residential properties as follows:

- an empty residential land - town houses, separate or semi-linked houses, or terraced houses standing on residential lots - properties not authorized for condominium development under the Planning Act

In applying for approval to be able to buy a restricted residential property, the foreign national must fill out a form and, together with the required supporting documents, submit this to the Singapore Land Authority. This branch of the government is in charge of receiving the requests of the expatriate regarding the purchase of a restricted residential property. The agency will assess and approve or disapprove the application, depending on the virtues of the expatriate's qualifications.

How Does Car Insurance Work When Driving Other People's Car?

By Adriana Noton

Auto insurance is insurance purchased for cars. Its principal objective is to provide protection against losses incurred due to traffic accidents and liabilities subjected to accidents and car thefts. The majority of jurisdictions across the globe make it imperative to have assurance auto coverage before driving the vehicle on the public road. Insurance for both car and driver is mandatory by most governments of the world. Does that mean in occurrence of an accidental injury, your insurance policy will pay for your loss or someone else's? How does car insurance actually work when driving other people's car? This article aims at answering a pertinent question, which many of us seek to find answers to when stuck in a controversial situation.

A Personal Auto Insurance policy will cover the damages and medical liabilities of an uninsured motorist, operating your personal vehicle. In certain cases your personal insurance will cover the property damage as well. However, it will "not" provide cover for the operation of a hired business or commercial use vehicle.

It should be noted, that the car is insured, and not the driver. In case of a "personal" vehicle being driven, which has an adequate active coverage, the policy will be liable for the auto damage and the medical liability of the driver. However, if the "personal" vehicle insurance stands inadequate, then a part of the driver's own active insurance policy will provide the medical benefits or the damage cover. The degree of coverage depends on factors like rentals, loaners, local or state regulations and reasons driving the other vehicle.

The assurance auto Montreal policy in force will cover the vehicle damage only if the driver had the owner's "permission" to drive. Hence also covering the liabilities of the other parties involved. The insurance will also follow the driver, if they are mentioned in the policy of the car owner.

Insurance coverage varies with state. While, in some states, the policy will cover both the vehicle and the driver, whether or not the driver is enlisted in the policy of the car owner. Simultaneously, the car owner's policy will provide coverage for him when he's in the driver's seat of another owner's "personal" vehicle.

Most auto insurance policies will cover any driver of the insured vehicle, unless that driver has been excluded from the policy or unless the driver has stolen the vehicle. This would require the owner to press his situation, by providing a copy of the filed theft report or the filed exclusion report.

Since auto insurance follows the vehicle, if you're driving a borrowed car and get involved in an accident, the lender's insurance policy will cover the liabilities, your medical expense and the other vehicle's damages. But, if the lender has no insurance or his insurance is inadequate, then the borrower's insurance will step-in and cover all of the losses.

Car insurance companies offer "Drive Other Cars" advantage on the owner's insurance policy to combat such situations. This policy provides comprehensive coverage on a driver who has the owner's permission, as well as third party coverage for any injured individual in case of unexpected accidents. Different insurance companies provide different terms and conditions in order to receive "drive other car" benefits, and some may not even provide this advantage. Therefore, it's advisable that you call your insurance company before lending or borrowing a car.

Raising capital for a start-up, corporation in expansion mode or a company in virtually any position presents it's challenges and roadblocks. There has been no period in recent history that can simulate the difficulties that current entrepreneurs and executives are having when trying to achieve the procurement of venture capital. The standards have become more stringent and the cross-collateralization of personal and corporate assets as security for loans has virtually become a mandatory prerequisite for any type of funding, equity or loan based.

When initiating the process of raising capital one should take into consideration the use of a combination of funding options such as but not limited to: traditional venture capital, bank institutional, institutional equity investment, hedge fund lenders, private money lending, angel equity and loan investment, a private placement memorandum as the mechanism for raising capital distributed in shares, international equity based funding, the reality of taking your small business public on the OTCBB and many other concepts of capital raising that can be placed into a simultaneous strategy.

It's a common mistake among entrepreneurs and executives to place all of their attention and time into one singular aspect of the above funding concepts. Instead, you should pick a multi pronged approach and go after multiple genres of financing for your business. HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR SKATEBOARD GO FASTER?

Posted: 17 Feb 2010 06:38 PM PST

I cant appear to get my skateboard to go faster. When ever im upon it, a skateboard is unequivocally tough to get starting at a great speed means it only goes unequivocally slow. we already put WD-40 upon it as well as it didnt unequivocally work. Any suggestions?
